Denim On Denim

Last last Saturday was our college's acquaintance party which had the theme of the ever talked about Coachella. I'm pretty sure everyone is aware of what it is, for those who are not the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival is an annual music and arts festival held at the Empire Polo Club in Indio, California. A lot of celebrities are present in this two-weekend event filled with music, and aside from enjoying good music one of the most awaited thing is what people wear. One of the most followed celebrity that joins this event is Vanessa Hudgens who is dubbed as the Queen of Coachella together with her dreamy boyfie, Austin Butler.

I, in all honesty, did not like nor enjoy the event it may sound rude, but at least I'm being honest. The theme may have been good so I had high hopes unfortunately the committee involved were not able to execute it properly. A lot of students really went all-out with their outfit to match the theme so I kind of felt sorry for them. Nevertheless, here's what I wore that night.

I opted for everything denim, it was what's really on my mind. Here are my reasons (1) I don't like looking like everyone else meaning I wouldn't want to see someone who's dressed the same as I am, (2) would have gone for boho but I know that everyone would go for that and I was right, (3) avoid the mainstream, and (4) I love denim!!!!! Kept my outfit real simple with matching different shades of denim and blue. I really love this jacket I consider it as one of the must-haves in one's closet. It'll never go out of style and putting it on changes the attitude of what you're wearing. You can use it to tone done a loud printed dress or top, or make your shirt x shorts/ pants combo more stylish.  Again, never be afraid in mixing and matching outfits even though you may be a little hesitant at first remember that there is always a first for everything.

I had often said that I wish I had invented blue jeans: the most spectacular, the most practical, the most relaxed, and nonchalant. They have expression, modesty, sex, appeal, simplicity - all I hope for in my clothes. - Yves Saint Laurent
